By the Water's Edge

We sit down upon the beach and we wait by the water's edge
The sands feel smooth between our toes as we wait by the water's edge
We watch the waves crash up against the shoreline as we wait by the water's edge
We enjoy the warmth of the sun above as we wait by the water's edge
Then, night falls and we know that it is soon as we wait by the water's edge
The stars brightly reveal the heavenly beauty and we know that it was worth it, the wait by the water's edge
