The Nomad

by Elton Lau   Jun 12, 2007

Into the desert the Nomad wanders aimlessly,

Deserted by everything except for nothing

His imminent death served as the only guarantee,

Of a satisfaction that only death could bring

Tired footprints in the sand slowly Masked by the wind,

A calm certainty his life would be forgotten

From heartwarming places whose homes he wished he had been,

To the desolate bowels of the past forsaken

His weary heart crushed by the cruelty of the sandy sea,

His anguished cries silently echoed by empty sea

Deep into nothingness as far as his eyes could see,

Deep into nothingness as far as his eyes could see
