The journey of death

by ciera   Jun 12, 2007

Will the road to death be soft and sweet?
slowly and quietly enveloping you into darkness in your sleep.
gently, softly caressing your body in that infernal darkness that feels quite like home.
will you remember the smell of your grandmothers perfume?
the taste of the air on the beach in the morning?
until you are thrust upon a great light like at birth, where your final judgement will come to pass.
is this the quiet, neat road of death?
or is it
a hard and cold journey?
every step of the way pushing you down lower and lower to the ground, up staires that will never seem to end. with every step you reminising about the people you have lied to. remembering all of the people you have done wrong.
before you finally stand in yet another cold dark room where the judge of all judges delivers your sentence.
is this death? are either of these death?
one day i will go down the path of death, lest it be over yonder hills or over those high mountains my death awaits and there is no escaping it.
