Daddy, why?

by LiveLoveTy   Jun 15, 2007

Daddy,
Do you love me?
no.

Daddy,
Did you mean to do that to mommy?
yes.

Daddy,
Why?
Your to young to understand.

NO.
Father this is my side of the story.
I am older.
I am wiser.
But I still don't understand.
You said till death do us part.
You said you would love her.
Take care of her.
You promised Daddy.

But you broke everything you ever made.
All you did was beat her.
Beat her until she was numb and couldn't scream anymore.
You watched as she bled on the kitchen floor.
How could you?
I thought I knew you.

I was a witness to this.
I saw what you did.
I saw the hatred in your eyes.
I saw it Daddy.
How could you?
I thought I knew you.

Daddy,
Do you still think about me?
yes.

The day that we finally left,
I bet you didn't notice until you sobered up.
I bet you were mad when you found out that we beat you this time.
I bet you just drank more.
Thinking it was a dream.

I know my brother doesn't want to see you.
He was older when you murdered my mother.
He saw it with his bare eyes.
He stood there frozen with fear.
He saw you Daddy.
He saw you kill Mommy.

So you shot him.
Daddy, You shot your son.
Do you realize that?

Daddy,
Did you try to shoot me?
Did you want to shoot me?

How could you?
I thought I knew you.

I know I shouldn't.
But I still do.
I want to meet you.

Because I NEVER knew you.
