Forever Loved

You're finally back home
To stay for awhile
How precious that moment was
When I first saw you smile

You ran and hugged me
Your arms around me tight
Then said that seeing me again
was a wonderful sight

We got into my car
And at first it felt weird
To have you sitting next to me
As I put my car into gear

You grabbed my hand
And said, "I'm glad I'm here!"
I smiled back at you
And said, "Me too dear!"

I asked him why
His face was all red
And then he replied
"Because I'm near you again."

We remembered our memories
For the rest of the ride
How much we missed each other
And what we felt inside

When we got to my house
You were in shock
As I put my key in
And opened the lock

All your old friends
Were standing in front of you
They all started screaming
"We missed you so much Drew!"

Now that you are back home
Everything is as it was
And we just wanted to let you know
Here, you are forever loved
