I blame the moon

by Heather   Jun 19, 2007

I couldn't see your eyes last night
the shadows were casted just right
all I could hear was the Sharp intake of breath
you'd think I was talking about death
by the way you rushed off the porch
I saw the shimmer of tears as you walk by the torch

I blame the moon
and the stars too
I blame the cool air
and the shadows too

I heard the front door slam
and the rev of you truck was like the bursting of a dam
I winced at the the sound of gravel flying cross the yard
At that moment I was caught off guard

I blame the moon
and the stars too
I blame the cool air
and the shadows too

I waited up till almost one
trying my best not to come undone
holding my tears at bay
praying that you'd come back and everything would be okay

I blame the moon
and the stars too
I blame the cool air
and the shadows too

I finnally curled up on the couch
by mourning light I was a grouch
and by night I cried all my unwanted tears
and reality hit me like a bundle of spears

I blame the moon
and the sars too
I blame the cool air
and the shadows too

You weren't coming back to me
you finally got what you wanted...your free
