For You

by Pauly D.   Apr 22, 2004

Running hard, but not going far.
I can't keep up, I'm not on par.
I'm trying to get to the finish line
And get that point in reach.
But I'm just not fast enough.
It's something you just can't teach.

I can't accept the fact
And shape my life accordingly.
I guess I'm just too stubborn;
There're better things out there for me.
Life is always moving; It always seems so stormy.
It makes it hard to see
Which way my life is forming.

I'm trusting fate is right.
There's nowhere else to turn.
I'll do it even despite
You wanting me to adjourn.

There's a time to laugh, a time to cry, A time to think to the sky.
No matter the trail, if it looks like I'll fail.
For you, I'll continue to try.

Paul, this is a lovely poem. You have written this piece from your heart which then gives it great meaning. You did an excellent job in putting the phrases together to compose one heartfelt poem.

"No matter the trail, if it looks like I'll fail.
For you, I'll continue to try. "

This last part of your poem was very sweet and it really touched me. Keep up the excellent work and I look forward to reading more in the future.
    Take care
    Kristina
