If she only knew

by Liv Bell Couver   Jun 20, 2007

If only she knew, the way I felt.
She hears me tell her I love her,
she hears me tell her I need her,
She hears me tell her there will never be any other,
And yet she still pushes away.
I only wish to embrace her, to protect her, to love her, never harm her,
She doesn't understand the pain she caused,
and doesn't understand my heart isn't capable of letting her go.
I pray that if this is nothing but a game,
She shows my tattered and shattered mind mercy,
I pray she keeps my heart safe, instead of breaking it more than it's already been broken.
Hit me, hate me, blame me, break me,
I don't understand why I can't let go...
You promised me forever and always, but was it just a game?
Was it just to see how far I'd go?
I've given it all, my family, my friends, my life, all for you, so what will it be?
Leave me broken, or keep me, without these mind games?
The sad part is, I don't think you'll ever know, just how much I gave to be with you, just how much I truly love you.
I'm begging you baby, please, don't hurt me again...please don't break my heart...not only will it cost me everything around me, but it will cost my very life...
If you only want to hurt me, please, just leave....
Just remember, I'll never stop loving you...
Forever and Always, past the end.
