My Mom

by Christina Gillis   Jun 20, 2007

Going back as far as I can
She's not in my life at all,
She wasn't there when I learned to ride a bike
or when I took my biggest fall.

She's missed out on me all together
The love that we could have shared
All because she wanted drugs
That's how she proved to me she really cared.

She'd rather be with Randy
Than any one of us;
He could care less
If she got hit by a bus.

Ever since I was three
He's the only one she's cared about
She used to tell me
"Baby, he's the one - I have no doubt."

He's beat her till she's nothing
But she still tells him "I love you"
She can't get out of the relationship.
She says she don't know what to do.

I used to pray to God every night
and ask Him to bring my mama home.
It hasn't happened yet
Me and Daddy are still on our own.

Our moms are supposed to be there
To help us through our childhood.
It wasn't her - it was my Dad
He's done everything he should.

Why can't she be like Daddy?
Always loving and always there to care.
She's abandoned me forever, and
I know this wasn't fair.

Ninky and Dessy have no mom
cause she's always in jail,
dear god please help them
they don't deserve a life of hell.
