My Heart of Poetry

by HiddenPoet   Jun 20, 2007

O' Poetry
What of thee?
A love to you there must be

A glimmering glee
contained in me
for thee,
the lovely poetry

Woe of me
Not blind, cannot you see
that we
stand together beneath the same tree

Now, always with me
My poetry
A spirit that does dwell in thee
Never alone, always we

And, at the time of thee,
I cease to be
along with me
come my faithful poetry
