Unforseen Hopes

by Pauly D.   Apr 22, 2004

The horizons seem to have broadened.
Ther's more here at stake.
As every single outcome
Is crucial and hard to take.

I think before I do,
And hope that nothing goes wrong.
I think of times anew,
As I continue, for you, to long.

When it comes to you
Nothing is vile.
You couldn't go too far.
I'd walk that extra mile.

Flooding the brain
With repetitive thoughts.
Staying in the game,
Remember what your taught.

Time seems to slow,
Your prescence creates a mirage.
I sometimes wish I could know,
Just sit back, and ponder.

I just want to be with you,
Comforting you late at night.
Keeping you by my side,
Staving you from the fright.

So, on that rare occasion,
When that smile turns to frown,
I hope that I can be there
To turn it upside down.
