I'm Wiser Than That

** This poem isn't exactly about a lost relationship.. but i didn't know where to post it.. ANYWAYS.. i wrote this poem on behalf of my "innocent" friend! **

I'm living my life determined to remain on the right side
Never interacted with guys; it never even passed my mind
For my aim is to cherish my parents trust and my reputation
Due to that, I avoided every slight resemblance of temptation
Soon after that you appeared in my life
I tried avoiding you, to not get into any strife
Yet, you were determined to get me
You assured me that you wanted no one but me
You spoke of how beautiful you found me
And how you'd do anything just to see me
You never took no for an answer; you continued asking me
To be your girlfriend and to give you a chance
And to finally give up my heart to romance
First, I found it interesting and it got excited
Not because I decided that I want us to get united
But because I loved the attention I was getting from you
It felt great to be run after by you
And to hear all those sweet words that came out of you
I loved the way you made me feel about myself too
Nevertheless, as I thought of it more and more
I started to realize that you just want to turn me into a wh0re
You want to get me to the bad side
When my whole life, I worked on remaining on the good side
Are you jealous of my innocence and purity?
Well sorry to tell you this honey, but you underestimated my maturity
For I'm not going to fall weak into your heartless trap
So stop giving me your lame attention, and stop your crap
I'm wiser than that; I know what you're up to
So stop it, and back off me for good too
I don't need your attention; I don't need to hear how beautiful I am
I'm well aware of my beauty, so just leave me alone and scam!
When I made that point clear to you
You said that I'm not worth all you're going through
And that I think of myself as too high
Well honey you are somehow right in that, for compared to you I am too high
Believe me honey you'd never reach to my level even if you forever try
For I'm too good for you, or any other guy like you
I'm proud of being innocent and I'm proud of the way I'm living
And I'm not going to change for anyone, until its my last breath I'm breathing

    Wow ok no offence but with that wedding poem i dunno why i thought u were a guy so my bad...
    so about this poem:
    hum it's good that's for sure even tho i might not be 100% with you on this topic, but of course i dunno this guy so u might have indeed done the right thing if he wasn't sincere n all he wanted was to ....well .... u know what i'm talking about...
    this won't sound as great as other comments cuz gonna point out the only 2 passages that i didn't like in this poem n maybe if u feel the same too u can edit it. i dunno just doing my job of being a critic.

    i thought that was a bit heavy n didn't flow well with the rest.

    that doesn't make u look good cuz most ppl will think ur just being a bit cocky with this verse. anyways like i said not gonna be pleasant to hear but i assure u that the rest was great n really liked it overall! 4/5
