We'll Go Out In Style

by SmileeItsBritt   Jun 29, 2007

Tonight the world stopped spinning,
When you threw your morals out the door
And you can't seem to muster up a reason why,
You can't see the sun anymore.
You wore happiness like the latest fashion,
But it never fit you well.
You told you're lies so innocently
So sure of yourself, you thought they'd sell.

Forget everything you thought you knew,
Get ready for the truth.

I've learned love doesn't count for anything,
And promises are never kept.
Apologies only hold truth once,
And sincerity you can just forget.

No, it was never meant to be like this
Is what you always say.

Tonight we're in the business of liars
So say goodnight and close your eyes
We were never good at happy endings,
So hold your breath while we sever our ties.
