He gets a call in from work that day,
Saying one tower had just been hit
He suits up into all his gear,
And kisses her on the lips

Shes frantic and worried watching TV
Hoping hes still alive
She watches the other twin tower get hit
Knowing very well that he could die

Hes scared to death there at the scene
Trying to save as many as he can
Hes watching the flames go higher and higher
Hoping if he dies, that he'll go to heaven

Shes still watching ever so intensly
Wishing she knew the unseen
Shes hoping the next time they meet,
Wont be in a heartbroken dream

Hes climbing the stairs, praying softly outloud
As another floor falls
Hes trapped inside with hundreds of others
Screaming, hoping someone can hear their calls

She feels it in her heart deep inside
And fall to the ground crying
She hurts and crys and hopes it not him
Praying to God its not him dying

Hes trying to tell her everythings alright
But still on the floor she cryied
He says "I got to heaven sweetheart,
"The only price i payed was died"

She knows hes there, up above
In a place far better then the rest
She knows he went saving lives
To get to heaven which is the best
