Fate

by Pauly D.   Apr 23, 2004

Just when I was feeling good,
When things were coming together.
He came back, begging all he could
The reason for this mess, I didn't seem to matter.

You dropped your things,
Falling into the trap.
You've lost your direction,
Maybe you need a map.

The time I've wasted
Contributed to the mix.
Making things harder on you,
I never thought it would come to this.

There's nothing I can do,
He seems to be your prince.
And every time your with him,
It makes me want to wince.

Seeing your joy, carrying the gift,
I didn't show it then, but my heart had a rift.
All the time I cared, trying not to crack.
All the times that we shared, Now I want them back.

You can't dream subconsciously
And change the things in the past.
Fate has cast it's cold dry spell,
Leaving me to wonder at last.

Anothey lovely piece of poetry Paul. Sorry you feel that way. But don't worry...you'll find someone else pretty soon and I'm sure she will be well worth everything in your life. Take care always

I loved your poem, But it's probably not meant to be your better off with someone else. If you have time let me know what you think of my poems. Great job...5
