The Wings of an Angel

by Travis   Jul 2, 2007

The wings of my angel,
They spread far and wide,
They spread to hold me beneath.

Those wings are held,
By the beautiful angel,
Who I love to call mine.

She pulls me in close to her chest,
To listen to her heart beat,
And to hear her soft breath.

I love to sit by her side,
And rest beneath,
The wings of an angel.

Whose arms hold me tight,
While I sit here,
Crying afraid I might lose her.

She reassures me with few words,
"I love you so much,
And I'll always be yours."

Those words bring pure bliss,
To the broken heart,
While I sit beneath,
The wings of an angel.

    Pretty overall

first stanza- try not to repeat words when not necessary.

too typical of a guy writing a love poem. I like it better when you write something different.

    still be good though.
