I thought we meant forever
I guess I was wrong
I still wonder where I failed
Why you just played along

You did what you had to
I don't blame you for my pain
I just wish it hadn't been me
Stuck in memory lane

I tried to ignore your thoughts
I tried to go far away
Only to find myself
Closer in every way

I won't let you go so easy
We can't just be friends
Won't you give me a chance
Coz this can't be where it ends

I did all I could
To try to get you back
Instead I just lost
Whatever left I had

I'll wait for the day
You find your way to me
We're meant for each other
I hope you'll finally see.
