Was It All A Joke

Was it all a joke
Were they all just lies
All those times we shared
Your feelings in disguise

Your words hit me like waves
As i sank to the floor
I watched, without a care
How you walked through the door

I hoped i would open my eyes
To know it had been a dream
No such luck
I remain shattered at the seams

I tell myself
That i will forget
Only to look back
At lies and regret

There's no way to heal
I knew I blew my chance
When you broke it all
Without a second glance

I will always love you
And cherish your memories
It will just take some time
To cross these painful seas.
