Behind These Blue Eyes

Behind these blue eyes
Is a damaged soul.
Taking the obstacles given by life,
Beaten, battered and barely left whole.

Dieing to get away, and
Unclip these dusty wings.
Wanting to discover
What a new life may bring.

Behind these blue eyes
Is a broken heart.
Stolen from the beginning,
Tortured from the start.

Tossed around like a play toy
Leaving me all alone.
Left to drown in the agony
A degree of pain, unknown.

Behind these blue eyes
Is a girl with many dreams.
Whose life may look easy,
But isn't what it seems.

Behind these blue eyes
Is a girl with undying love.
Given to a boy, whose life
She is no longer part of.

Behind these blue eyes
Is an unanswered prayer
That proved to this girl
That life's never fair.

Behind these blue eyes
Is a story, quite grim.
A boy and a girl who fell in love,
But she fell much harder for him.
