Why

by Andrew Morton   Jul 6, 2007

Setenced to an eternity of hell
walking the face the of the earth
never in his life did he think
he'd live in a world with so much hurt
think positive, they would say
focus on the good things in life
but the benefits of living
was entangled in a lie

so he'll lie as good as dead on the floor
asking why he could never ask for more
the world was at his finger tips
just as he starts to lose he'd grip
how can he live his life on the edge
standing right on the ledge
when he's fallen day in and out
so he shouts

why, why - just tell me why

everything happens for a reason
he wonders just what he'd done wrong
for everything in his life
to always go wrong (and he'd say)
i dont cheat, i dont lie
and everything i left behind
was to make it better in the end
i've done everything i can

so i'll lie as good as dead on the floor
asking why i could never ask for more
the world was at my finger tips
just as he starts to lose my grip
how can i live his life on the edge
standing right on the ledge
when i've fallen day in and out
so i shouts

why, why - just tell me why
why, why - just tell me why
why, why - just tell me why--->

im living in the aftermath of broken hearts
just why my life gets ripped apart
ive got holes in my tongue from biting so hard
so tell me why its so hard

tell me why - why....
