No More Pain

Death beckoned to me from the darkness
'come with me' said the voice so sweet
It guided the blade to cut my vein
and assured me everything's going to be okay
After this there will be no more pain

Death held my head in it's hands
and it wiped away all of my tears
Grabbed my hand and held me close
and chased away all of my fears

I looked straight into the eyes of death
and my head started to feel light
The whole room was starting to spin
My eyes were feeling heavy
the darkness was starting to close in

Death laid my head down gently
and said 'its going to be allright'
I felt myself slipping into darkness
There was no point in trying to fight

My wrists leaked crimson ink
staining the sheets of my bed
It was getting really hard to think
fog started to fill my head

I opened my eyes and the day had turned black
The tears on my cheeks had dried
There were no more cuts through my vein
Death held me tight in it's arms and said
'like I said.. No More Pain.'
