This Place

This place has sent me into a state of zombification.
Been here for far too long,
I need an invigorating vacation.
This life I'm leading is all wrong.

I need to get out of this place,
It just dispirits me.
I'm so sick of hiding behind this fake face,
Living in this sad,endless sea.

I could just fade away,
Like a pile of dust.
Never having my day,
let all of my talents decay with rust.

Or, I could grow my wings,
Make an astonishing something out of a deadening nothing,
follow my dreams,
and see what wondrous things the future may bring!
