Angel with no wings

Born into this world of anger and hate
asking for love, but knowing it's to late.

His wings dipped into the flames of pain
hurt in his heart that can't be explain.

He once flew gentle like a lonesome little dove
circling the world looking for a family of love.

They stripped his wings and locked him away
trapped in hell forever where he must stay.

He was tortured and beaten every single day
if only they hadn't taken his wings away.

His body was mangled and clothes were tore
all the pain inside him hurt even more.

He asked for love and hate he received
it's so hard for the angel to believe.

That people on earth can be so mean
because in heaven thats something he's never seen.

He drops to his knees begins to say
dear Lord in heaven please take me away.

My job here is done must come home
