The Girl & The Ring

by Falling Again   Jul 8, 2007

If i had known before hand, the road my actions would lead me to, i never would have let go of your hand.
Never would have said those words that left salt in my mouth, assuming it would be worth the bitter taste.

If i had seen the look in your eyes after i turned away, I would have remembered how it felt to see it all shatter. Never would have walked away so many times to find something that was lost forever.

If i had listened to your voice, i never would have heard another sound, something to doubt what i knew.
Never would have tuned out what was playing so loudly.

Yet your voice i did ignore, your hand i did release, and this road i did take.
Only to turn around and find you gone.
