Sitting by the Lake

by Chuck Aquino   Apr 24, 2004

Sitting by the lake
And seeing a cow or a steak

Still sitting by the lake
Fishing, and putting in more bait

Still sitting by the lake
With out hesitate; I took a look at a butterfly with its mate,

Sitting and humming by the lake
I noticed two dogs having a date

Sitting, sitting, sitting by the lake
I see a willow with its strongest faith

My mind is soaring, but still sitting by the lake,
I see two children overcoming their hate,

Sitting on the ants by the lake
I had to move because my pants was full of cake,

Still aching, still sitting by the lake,
Natures perfect, Sun is set, and the story ended for my sake.
