Death

by David Rances   Jul 9, 2007

The ice cold blade
Pierces through skin and flesh
As easily as
A fish swims through water.
Blood gushes out
Warm, crimson red
As death comes
Your life flashes
Before your eyes
Everything youve ever done
All the places youve went to
They all travel before your eyes
In your final seconds
Time goes ever so slowly
At these few minutes
You wonder if it was worth it
Making all those friends
Being in those relationships
Doing all that work for the community
"Will they miss me," you ask
"Will they even notice I'm gone," you ask
As these questions fill your head
You succumb to the
Chilling, cold hand of death
That everlasting sleep
That takes away
All pain and sickness
Removing you
From the evils of the world
