It hurts
But when you get your heart broken
It kills you

Every memory ever made
Is expected to just fade
Become non existent
To act like nothing happened
and just resist it

A broken heart never heals
Because the recollection is all you feel

We wish for it to go away and stop hurting
But we're left with the aching and the burning

The flames die down
But they never get put out
Only to re-ignite

The pain makes you want to reach out
And try to love someone new
