Burning Sensation

by Marisa Lishay   Apr 24, 2004

Falling,
Like a star,
She took a glimpse of what lay Before her
Beyond the world she once knew
Past her most precious memories
The past seemed so present,
So real, and heartbreaking
But this is the one thing that meant the most

Her loves,
Her hates,
Everything had its purpose
Her whole life is based on this moment
The life of this was in her hands,
Her mind,
Heartache will finally end
She is excited, she will get to meet Him
He knows she will never meet Him,
He will always prevail
The fire inside her burning mind is calling her to finish
Her breathing becomes irregular
Confusion- a word she knows well
She has to do it,
She wants to meet Him
Slowly, very slowly,
She carves her name on her chest
And falls to the floor.
