My role model

The rain falling
the babies crawling
my heart beating faster and faster
with our joyous laughter
your the one i come to
and i watch everything you do
your my role model
when i was a baby, your the one who gave me my bottle
i want to grow up
and do the things you do.
im going to tell all about you to my kids
even though you are not blood related
you were still my native
you grew old
and i took to you to my house when yours got sold
i woke up one night
to check and see if you were alright
and found you in a deep deep sleep
your in a better place now
i thought it was so fowl
until i remember all the things you did
so i could teach my kids
i told them all about you
and how you were my role model
i miss you
and if you only knew
still to this day i love you
