Weathered love

by Jenni G   Jul 13, 2007

The sun's warmness comforts my day
Days grow longer and more time to play
The short nights needs no lover's caress
Free to fly the sky like a dove far from its nest

Grains of sand stick to me
Bodies rubbing in the thick humidity
Fresh air I escape into the sunset
A name I seem to forget

September I begin to fall
Shorter plays I can no longer stand tall
Night quickly steals the day's light
Suddenly I feel lonesome tonight

The weather chills my bones...aching my knee
Would you like to stay for a cup of tea?
Its getting late the winter storm has come
Making my body feel ooh so numb

I begin to bloom in the water's spring
Maybe this love was just a fling
Changes...I must break through
The old must turn into new
