Wanderer's Shadow

by HiddenPoet   Jul 13, 2007

Darkness bears a secret
A shadow without a name
Deathly black smoke coated within
A corruption of deep pain

A hurting in a happy place
No shelter is my home
A cursed wanderer that I be
All time stops with me alone

A skeleton of life I walk
Unknown to one and all
A scar shown and lies burnt
Emotions built a thorny wall

Searching for the promised peace
War should be now slain
We cast our evils on enemies
But the shadows still remain

that line perfectly states the essence of human instinct - we never blame ourselves. if we did we wouldnt have gangs and wars and abuse and we would probably all be a little kinder.
