Friendships are supposed to be forever

I've lost the one who would "always be there".
The world is so cruel, so unfair.
What happened to love? What happened to friends?
I thought that friendship wasn't supposed to end.
I guess it's right. I should have known it would be.
Nothing in life is ever made for me.
True friendship is supposed to last forever.
I thought that we would grow old together.
We would walk down the beach hand in hand.
What happened to those talks? What happened to those plans?
I don't understand how you can just forget.
Now my best friend is just another regret.
