The wedding reception

by ShadowedEyesLie   Jul 16, 2007

His voice echos through the tent where the people sat
Sitting is silence as they listen in shock and happiness.
The bride and groom hold tight to one another
Proud of their friends dedication.

The Washington sky is a pretty blue
With dark gray clouds as it threatens to rain
People playing volleyball and people eating
As he sing out the words of love and hope.

My hair is down in my curly brown mess
And my skirt is no longer on.
Im now wearing a pair of jeans with a black top
And my face is dirty from my volleyball dives

This day has brought together two amazing people
And is also another day of my healing
I laughed and played with my family and new friends
And I pray this fun with never ever end.
