She Doesn't Know How Good She Is

by Chris Rodriguez   Jul 18, 2007

The Sun at the beach has me drawn in
Last drinks for lucky couples are slowly calling
I remembered how I used to stare

I'm overwhelmed by this deafening quiet
My nerves are dropping but I never forget it
My concience promised me freedom
So why do I still care?

My late night binge is catching up to me
I'd tell you it's fine but it's really never easy
I don't even question anymore why life isn't fair

I get back to the apartment by six
My cousin passes out but it's nothing sleep can't fix
I wonder if she ever really meant it

The church bells ring next door
An old cathedral that reminds me what this is for
She doesn't need to pray
When everything she touches is protected

She doesn't know how good she is
She doesn't know
She really doesn't know

I need to see you
What else can I do
I'll make it through
