Loosing a father

by Cat   Jul 20, 2007

She sits on the windowsill
like a flower wilting in the sun
The sun shines through
lighting up her blonde hair
like light dancing on a river
See the tears running down her face
like the last drops of water dripping from a hose
She thinks about her father
death coming as quick as lightning
Why does it have to be like this?
Waiting for his return
like a child waiting for summer
as foolish as it may seem
she believes she will meet him again one day
somewhere…
