Blue To Green

by Chris Rodriguez   Jul 21, 2007

Packing up my things I'm ready to go
Piece by piece, and year by year
I'm leaving you
but you left me years ago
The smell on black converse
And tight blue jeans
I remember the days when you knew how to have fun
When your eyes turned my blue to green

Another summer in Spain
The sound of waves putting me to sleep
After a late evening binge
In my dream I'm taking the leap

And I don't care if you don't want big cities
And I don't care if you don't want change
If it meant that you would stay here with me
I couldn't have it any other way

Keep praying but stay out late some nights
Just some nights
Don't be afraid to say hi to an old friend
It's not like you have some sort of muse
Everyday gets emptier with my tongue all tied
'Cause I figured out it was never meant to be this hard

And you're my
Greatest Reason
And You're my
Greatest feeling
When all things lose their meaning
Your eyes keep me from falling

Days Don't seem to matter
