He kept to himself
Wore a mask
So no one saw the pain
And no one would ask

I got pretty close
And removed the disquise
Just as he did me
We discovered so many lies

We got closer by the days
A bit to close for him
And so he avoided me
Our friendship became dim

I bugged him everyday
Asking him why he avoids me
Looking at me with sorrowful eyes
He says "I do not wish to hurt thee..."

I feel bad
For no mate
Should suffer with that thought
He deserved a better fate
