Fire

by Marisa Lishay   Apr 25, 2004

Everything has two sides to a story,
The good and the bad,
Or sometimes ugly.

The bad side in her head
Was telling her to succeed;
Telling her he would be in a better place;
In the back of her head, she didn’t want to do it
But she wanted to please her master.

The FIRE inside her head was leading her into the kitchen
Forced her to grab the knife,
And demanded her to finish the job,
She ran to the mirror,
And couldn’t even look herself in the eye.

For what she was about to do,
Would be a major heartache for many people.
She had to do it,
He would be better off,
She told herself.

Without thinking,
She ran to her bed,
Grabbed the knife,
And pushed it through her middle;
Killing her unborn son.

The FIRE inside her brain has taken over;
She had no idea that
The fire was about to send her to her master.
