Life of a Young Girl

A young girl growing up so fast,
Hoping the goodness will forever last...
Years began to pass and good came to an end,
Her world came crashing down when she lost her best friend...

When her best friend was taken from suicide,
She began to run and tried to hide...
She left the first love that she had in her life,
She was so afraid to go to sleep every single night...

It became continuous that God wanted her friends,
They kept becoming angels and having short ends...
She fell into the life of the next door neighbor,
She thought he could possibly save her...

She secluded herself from her normal life,
All of her wrongs seemed to play out right...
But the fuse blew and the laughs came to an end,
Her new life was hell brought on by her childhood friend...

When she picked up her shattered life and decided to go,
She lost her first love to reasons she'll never know...
Her aunt lost the fight in the hospital room,
She only hoped her end was coming soon...

Her best friends were drug addicts along with a knife,
She was just so sick and tired of her life...
With nobody there and no one to care,
A teacher opened her life for her to share...

She taught her how to smile each day,
She believed that she'll be OK...
But time ran out and so did this role model,
The girl fell and became one major problem...

With addictions that shouldn't happen this young,
She has no idea what has begun...
And no idea on what to do,
What is all of this coming to?

She tries SO hard to be strong every day,
She preaches to her friends that they'll be OK...
And she silently cries with muted screams,
Shes reliving the rapes she had in her dreams...

The people that she grows to care about,
Leaves her alone in a shadow of doubt...
And it is so hard to let someone in,
Because when they ask what's wrong, you don't know where to begin...
