Bright light in the sky doesnt mean it's a star

I made a wish upon a star.
But it didn't come true.
I asked for someone to love me.
That someone was you.
What I thought was the brightest star I could find,
Shooting across the sky
Turned out to be an airplane
Only passing by. :[
Next time I'll stick to birthday candles.
One wish a year, for my sake.
Because even if they don't come true,
I can still indulge myself in cake :P
