I was never the one to write love poems
They never seemed to come out right
I guess I never was in love

I always listen to the rain
It always washes away the pain
It’s always there to pull me through

I guess I never understood you
But you never helped me through
We never really were in love

Well the sun always felt like smiling
When I always felt like hiding
It always tried to pick me up

We always said we’d never give up on each other
So here were are so far apart but together
I’m going to fall in love with you
