Break the Skin

Pushed down, shoved aside
Gasping, bubbling
Dead inside
Move, breathe, talk, live
Don't falter, never give

Bad, good, sit, stay
If I'm your dog,
keep hands away
Teeth sharp, eyes bold
Tempt me, tease me, die cold

Beat me, break me
take me, tame me
You always look and never see
So do come closer, foolish kin
A single gnash will break the skin

    The rhyming and flow was spot on with this and was really smooth. Although the topic seemed some what cliche to me it was still a really nice written poem. I didn't loose interest at all throughout this and liked the length. Well done. ~mel
