How It Was

It used to be just me and you,
But now its just you then me,
We were together,
Now were apart,

I loved how you were mine,
I loved how i could say we were together,
I loved how your lips met mine,
I loved how your arms wrapped around me,
I loved how we slept side by side,
I loved how we cared about each other,
I loved how it was...just me and you,

We was together once upon a time,
Not long ago,
We had each other,
For the tough times,
And the good times,

I still have strong feelings,
Your still my baby,
And I'm still yours,
Forever and for now,

I loved how you were mine,
I loved how i could say we were together,
I loved how your lips met mine,
I loved how your arms wrapped around me,
I loved how we slept side by side,
I loved how we cared about each other,
I loved how it was...just me and you,

We walked through the forest together,
Talking to each other,
About anything and everything,
We walked together holding hands,
Side by side,
Us kissing as our lips meet we reach heaven,

We had a taste of heaven,
We touched heaven,
We stretched for heaven and got there as one,
Us together was in heaven whenever we was together,

We had so much love,
Has all that love really gone?
It hasn't from me,
I still keep you close to my heart loved how you were mine,

Every beat my heart takes is for you,
Every step i take is for you,
Every blink my eyes take is for you,
Everything i do is for you,

I have never felt this way about someone before,
But for some reason,
You and you alone i seem to care so much for,
And love so much for,

Please remember me,
As i will remember you,

When I'm old and frail,
I will reminisce on all the times we had together,
Tears will fall down my face,
As i remember the time i let you go,
Let you go into the dark,
Without holding my hand,

I hope forever you will always be in my life,
Somewhere,
Somehow,
As long as you are near me,

How it was is how i will remember it all,
How it was is how i loved it,
How it was just me and you,
How it was is the times that will stay with me till I'm six feet under,
How it was is how i still want it to be,

I loved you,
I still love you,
Even more than ever,
You will stay close to my heart for eternity.
