The Sun

by smit   Jul 29, 2007

The sun shines so bright
Giving out all its light
Afterall its just a star
Twinkling like any other from afar

It seems to rest at night
But its just making things right
On the other side
Acting like a guide.

It makes the moon white
And makes it shine with delight
In the darkness of the night
Taking away a child's fright

It glows with all its might
even when the clouds fight
It makes them thunder and rain
cooling off the ground's veins

It resides at such a height
So that no one can know its plight
But all around and inside it ignites
Fires that are so polite

Sun's like the most faithful knight
Without who there won't be any life
So loving, so selfless, so kind
It leaves not single one behind

But even the sun has its flight
When it gleams with spite
bathing everyone in their own sweat
And to some people's skin its a threat
