I told you a lie
Trying to hide the fact I wanted to die
I said I was a bad friend
In hopes to make our friendship end

In truth
That was the lie

I wanted to remain your friend
Stay by your side
Hold you up
Protect you from your fears
Give you a tissue to clean up your tears.

But how can I when I cant hold even myself up
This big girl you see was seen crying
I was falling
My strong legs you knew
Were slowly caving
The blade in the kitchen suddenly became a craving

So in fact this was the lie
I didn't want it to end
I wanted to forget
Put it all behind us
But if I did you would have fallen to
And you wouldn't be the friend I once knew

For the blade was waiting for me to tie up my loose ends

So I'm sorry I gave you this lie
But now you'll forget me
I hope you will anyway

Now that blade can be held in my hand without much fear
I can bring it down now
And I know that as I fall into the darkness and into the light
