Another love, that never was

by chris   Aug 1, 2007

Desperately i search

for something to grasp
to keep me warm
i feel it brush against my fingertips
a sudden chill fills my body

scared i pull away
how could i falter now
what am i scared of
i reach again, but it is gone

i am left alone once more
afraid to reach out
to fail once again
weak i fall, despair consumes

i weep with tears... so warm

Loved the wording of this poem, it was short but it kept me hooked throughout. I guess that fear can often paralyse us, and hold us back from something that could be great.

    Take Care.
