DREAM COMA

by Grey Ajurahck   Aug 2, 2007

I can feel it
ravaging me internally,
eating me alive,
causing my heart to
quiver in an unnatural beat,
pausing for a moment
as I fall
into that dreamy haze,
the familiar stupor
of lethargic numbness,
that safe haven
where all is bearable
and I am far away,
untouchable and dreaming again.
