SINCE YOU'VE BEEN GONE

by Grey Ajurahck   Aug 2, 2007

Refugees of romance
running scared, running scarred,
Barbed-wire band-aids
infect the sole stone, affect the soul alone,
Love themes of loss and longing
plague emotions, vague empty oceans.

And
it's a hot harsh hard hurt inside my heart,
ever since this soul-mate love was
ripped and torn apart,
it's a burning and freezing, a yearning and seizing,
this hollow emptiness, like something dying,
and now I've lost the wings you gave me for flying,
it's a void of lost dreams, can't you feel the tears I'm crying?
there must may something to do or say, can't stand to feel this way,
because it just can't be right when it feels so wrong,
ever since you've been gone.

And as I walk away,
lost alone in shadows I wander,
and wonder how I can go on,
for a part of me is missing
ever
since you've been gone.
