A Letter To My Father

by Tricksy   Aug 2, 2007

Dear Daddy,

I'm so sorry,
For all the things
I've done wrong.
I know you don't want me anymore.

Did you ever?

I miss the way,
We used to talk:
No yelling, no screaming, no tears.
And the way we would drive
For hours on end,
Without a destination,
Just to spend time together.

I miss the times
We spent together,
And the way you used to
Promise me,
I'd be your little girl
Forever.

But things have changed,
Though I remain the same
Girl you used to know.
So, Daddy, please,
Won't you hear me?
And see my hidden tears?

Maybe one day,
We'll be friends again,
Like we were before,
But until then,
I'll still be here,
All alone.
