Everything Back But You

As I stand at the door of our once happy home
Dipped in dark shadows and here all alone

Crystal clear tears fall down from my eyes
Embedded so deep on my soul torn inside.

Torment now scatters the dust in my mind
Mere recollections of love saw through time

So strong is the heartache that pulls at my breath
It renders me sleepless within its caress.

Love's shackles once tender now bind me so tight
As the black moon comes calling again on this night

True torture of soul for the pain that I see
That dwells in the pieces of lost memories.

Dark stars fade so quickly among all the tears
The night winds turn cold, forever... I fear

Love's web holds me tangled and tied on the wall
Leaving me here taking nothing at all.

The view traps my mind and soul to the core
As I look at our home from inside the door

Dipped in dark shadows, dust scatters anew
And blankets my heart with the memory of you.

    Wow i love this poem! the rhyming is perfect making it flow really well, and the speed is kept slow to make it feel sadder. its hard to pull out any bit that stands out, but these lines just hit me when i was reading it:
    "Crystal clear tears fall down from my eyes
    Embedded so deep on my soul torn inside."
    i love the way the tears are described, and i can almost feel them piercing thru ur inside (or my inside). you have a brilliant way wth words, well done :)! xxx
